Information You Submit
A third-party provider processes any name, phone number, or address entered in a search form. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. When you send us a message, we receive its contents and use them to answer.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal hosting logs may contain an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps diagnose faults and measure which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
We use limited data to run the service, repair errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles about individual readers.
Outside Websites
Links lead to Polk County and Florida portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Information submitted after leaving this service is governed by the destination's privacy policy. Sponsored results are also supplied by a third party.
Limited Data Sharing
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising services may receive the automatic data described above. Other disclosure occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
Security and Retention
An encrypted connection protects traffic in transit, and logs are retained only as long as operational needs require. Because there are no visitor accounts, this service stores no account password or user profile.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
The Florida Digital Bill of Rights, Florida Statutes sections 501.701 through 501.722, grants qualifying consumers rights involving access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-outs when a covered controller falls within the law's scope. We can search our mailbox and operational logs for a request submitted through the Contact page. Government records held by a Florida state, county, or city custodian are outside our control. Access to those records instead follows article I, section 24 of the Florida Constitution, chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, and applicable exemptions.
Updates to This Policy
We will place any revised policy on this page. Continued use after an update means the new terms apply.
